@oceanman It's a long story. Short version: did a similar thing in art class when I was younger. Then my bro was doing some of his first tats. I saw a cartoon version of a Swallow in one of his tat mags and started riffing. He asked if I wanted it as a tat, etc. +my nickname is "Jay" so I pushed closer to Blue Jay instead of Swallow.
@oceanman This was well before Twitter had a bird or even was a thing.
